Alex Hottinger walked into a dance studio at 2 years old dressed as a cat and never looked back. She began her training with Accent on Dance and spent a few years at the Young Dance Academy in the performance group as a small one (still dressed as a cat).

In 5th grade Alex started at Anita’s Dance Center in Muskego WI and within 2 weeks was asked to join the performance company where she performed many festivals, competitions, traveled to Disney World, and performed at the 1996 Olympic stages in Atlanta.

In High school Alex decided to slow down from 7 days of practice a week and joined Arabesque Dance Studio where she started teaching. Alex taught at this studio and did the majority of show choreography starting at 18 years old.

During college Alex started a dance team at Lakeland University in Sheboygan WI and started teaching at Jessica’s school of dance as well as assistant coaching the Sheboygan North High School Dance Team.

Alex moved back to the Milwaukee area and began teaching at Arabesque studio once again, specializing in the choreography and teaching the elite and advanced levels of dancers, sending a few off to the Minnesota Dance Team. She taught classes the day before she gave birth, demonstrating a donkey kick at 9 months pregnant. After a few more years of teaching Alex started a job that required a LOT of travel and could no longer stay teaching at a studio and sadly took a break, but is more than happy to be back in the dance world on

During the day Alex is a product consultant for financial software with FIS Global working with financial institutions on improving their business processes and software usage. Dance is the creative outlet that keeps her “sane”.

Alex is recently married to some guy named Paul and has a son going into high school this year. Her dog is the family manager.

Jessica, born and raised in Cedarburg, grew up dancing throughout her school years and holds a special passion for Poms. Jessica was captain of the Cedarburg High School Pom team, which placed at State her senior year. After high school she attended Indiana University in Bloomington, majoring in Business. She went on to work at an advertising agency in Chicago before moving back to Milwaukee where she served as Vice President of her family’s public relations firm, Vollrath Associates for nearly 15 years. Jessica currently lives in Cedarburg with her husband Matt and two daughters, Molly and Siena. Molly's interest in Cedarburg Poms sparked Jessica’s love again for the orange and black, as she currently helps coach our littlest competition team, Mini Bulldogs. Jessica loves teaching Poms, choreographing and performing for our Cedarburg community!

Lindsay Igl brings a wealth of dance experience and a passion for mentorship to Cedarburg Poms. With over 10 years of studio dance training growing up, Lindsay developed a deep love for the art form, which continued to flourish throughout her time as a member of her high school dance team. She later expanded her expertise as an assistant coach for the Sheboygan Falls high school team. Outside of coaching, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family, live music, being outdoors, and staying active through exercise. She believes in balancing hard work with fun and brings that energy into everything she does. Her coaching philosophy centers around not only helping her dancers grow in their technical abilities but also fostering strong friendships. She finds joy in watching her dancers build confidence, learn discipline, and form lasting bonds that extend beyond the dance floor.

Meet Bridget, she’s been dancing since she was four and has danced recreationally and competitively with Cedarburg Poms when she was younger. Her dedication paid off when she spent four years on the Cedarburg Varsity Dance Team and even became a head captain for two years!

Now, she’s pursuing her dreams at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, studying nursing. When she’s not studying, you can find her back at Cedarburg Poms, helping with choreography and coaching teams.

Bridget is all about creating a safe and welcoming space for her dancers, helping them build their confidence, and fostering positive and healthy relationships. She also brings a creative and individual touch to her choreography and routines, making each dance unique.

Meet Coach Abby! She has been dancing for 16 years and coaching for the past four years. If you find her day dreaming, don't be surprised to learn out she what she's really doing is brainstorming new choreography ideas.

Abby brings the perfect blend of intensity, nurturing, and expectations that help our dancers growing confidence and skill - both on and off the floor.

When she’s not at the studio, Abby loves working out and spending time with her people. And honestly… we might need to talk her into teaching everyone a little country line dancing before the season’s over

As a member of a state-qualifying high school team, Tessa learned the importance of teamwork, focus, and dedication. With endless energy (sometimes fueled by a blonde vanilla cold foam), she always brings the hype and keeps everyone smiling and motivated.

Social Media Director

Anna brings a unique blend of athletic science and digital strategy to the team. While her own dance career peaked during a brief (but memorable) three-month stint in kindergarten, her lifelong commitment to movement and performance took root on the sports field.

With a degree in Exercise and Sport Science and a career as an exercise physiologist, Anna has spent years supporting cardiac and pulmonary patients through recovery and chronic care. This deep understanding of human physiology gives her a professional appreciation for the grit and athleticism our dancers bring to the floor every day.

Seven years ago, Anna’s entrepreneurial spirit led her to launch a small business, where she discovered a passion for the ever-changing landscape of digital marketing. This prompted her to earn an MBA with an emphasis in marketing, bridging the gap between creative storytelling and business strategy.

When she isn’t documenting the team's journey, Anna is likely staying active herself by lifting weights or logging miles on a run. To balance the high energy of the gym and the digital world, she finds her "reset" in the quiet focus of knitting. Above all, she loves spending quality time with her husband and their two children.

Today, Anna uses her expertise to bring you behind the scenes. Whether she’s capturing the intensity of a rehearsal or the thrill of a win, her goal is to make you feel like part of the family. Through our website and social media, Anna invites you to experience every milestone, every breakthrough, and every bond - just as if you were right there in the studio with us.

Administrative Director

Originally from Iowa (with an 8 year stint in South Carolina!) Nicole relocated to Cedarburg, Wisconsin in 2013 with her husband Eric and her growing family. Before settling into life as a work-from-home mom, she served as an assistant district attorney—a role that sharpened her organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive under pressure.

Over the past decade, Nicole embraced the world of competitive dance as a proud mom to three dancing daughters. From countless rehearsals to endless competition weekends, she lived the dance experience from the sidelines and behind the scenes. That hands-on journey has equipped her with a deep understanding of what it takes to support dancers, coaches, and families alike.

In addition to her legal background, she explored roles in sales and travel—experiences that sharpened her communication and problem-solving skills.

But her heart has always been in supporting her daughter’s through their dance (and Softball and Volleyball!) journeys, which makes contributing to the Cedarburg Pom & Dance team especially meaningful.

Nicole is thrilled to help create a supportive, organized, and high-energy environment for our dancers to shine.
