Alex Hottinger walked into a dance studio at 2 years old dressed as a cat and never looked back. She began her training with Accent on Dance and spent a few years at the Young Dance Academy in the performance group as a small one (still dressed as a cat).
In 5th grade Alex started at Anita’s Dance Center in Muskego WI and within 2 weeks was asked to join the performance company where she performed many festivals, competitions, traveled to Disney World, and performed at the 1996 Olympic stages in Atlanta.
In High school Alex decided to slow down from 7 days of practice a week and joined Arabesque Dance Studio where she started teaching. Alex taught at this studio and did the majority of show choreography starting at 18 years old.
During college Alex started a dance team at Lakeland University in Sheboygan WI and started teaching at Jessica’s school of dance as well as assistant coaching the Sheboygan North High School Dance Team.
Alex moved back to the Milwaukee area and began teaching at Arabesque studio once again, specializing in the choreography and teaching the elite and advanced levels of dancers, sending a few off to the Minnesota Dance Team. She taught classes the day before she gave birth, demonstrating a donkey kick at 9 months pregnant. After a few more years of teaching Alex started a job that required a LOT of travel and could no longer stay teaching at a studio and sadly took a break, but is more than happy to be back in the dance world on
During the day Alex is a product consultant for financial software with FIS Global working with financial institutions on improving their business processes and software usage. Dance is the creative outlet that keeps her “sane”.
Alex is recently married to some guy named Paul and has a son going into high school this year. Her dog is the family manager.

She went on to work at an advertising agency in Chicago before moving back to Milwaukee where she served as Vice President of her family’s public relations firm, Vollrath Associates for nearly 15 years. Jessica currently lives in Cedarburg with her husband Matt and two daughters, Molly and Siena. Molly's interest in Cedarburg Poms sparked Jessica’s love again for the orange and black, as she currently helps coach our littlest competition team, Dazzle. Jessica loves teaching Poms, choreographing and performing for our Cedarburg community!

Lindsay Igl brings a wealth of dance experience and a passion for mentorship to Cedarburg Poms. With over 10 years of studio dance training growing up, Lindsay developed a deep love for the art form, which continued to flourish throughout her time as a member of her high school dance team. She later expanded her expertise as an assistant coach for the Sheboygan Falls high school team. Outside of coaching, Lindsay enjoys spending time with her family, live music, being outdoors, and staying active through exercise. She believes in balancing hard work with fun and brings that energy into everything she does. Her coaching philosophy centers around not only helping her dancers grow in their technical abilities but also fostering strong friendships. She finds joy in watching her dancers build confidence, learn discipline, and form lasting bonds that extend beyond the dance floor.

Team Operations Coordinator
Originally from Iowa (with an 8 year stint in South Carolina!) Nicole relocated to Cedarburg, Wisconsin in 2013 with her husband Eric and her growing family. Before settling into life as a work-from-home mom, she served as an assistant district attorney—a role that sharpened her organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to thrive under pressure.
Over the past decade, Nicole embraced the world of competitive dance as a proud mom to three dancing daughters. From countless rehearsals to endless competition weekends, she lived the dance experience from the sidelines and behind the scenes. That hands-on journey has equipped her with a deep understanding of what it takes to support dancers, coaches, and families alike.
In addition to her legal background, she explored roles in sales and travel—experiences that sharpened her communication and problem-solving skills. But her heart has always been in supporting her daughter’s through their dance (and Softball and Volleyball!) journeys, which makes contributing to the Cedarburg Pom & Dance team especially meaningful.
Nicole is thrilled to help create a supportive, organized, and high-energy environment for our dancers to shine.
